Welcome to Badges of Dolos. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Badges of Dolos. We operate this storefront and website—including all related information, content, tools, products, and custom minting services—to provide you with an authentic, curated commemorative keepsake experience (the “Services”). Badges of Dolos is hosted on the Shopify e-commerce platform.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By visiting our site or purchasing goods from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our referenced policies, including our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions, you may not access the website or use our Services.

Section 1 – Access and Eligibility

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You agree to provide true, current, and complete purchase, billing, and account information for all orders placed through our storefront.

Section 2 – Products, Minting & Material Specifications

We take pride in crafting authentic metal keepsakes milled from certified 260 brass alloy in-house in Texas. Because solid brass is an authentic natural metal, subtle surface character, natural patina variations, and microscopic tooling variations may occur and are inherent hallmarks of individually pressed metal relief.

We make every effort to display product colors, reliefs, and finishes as accurately as possible. However, display calibrations vary across devices, and we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color or metallic sheen will be completely identical to the physical coin.

All descriptions of products and product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any coin design or limit purchase quantities on a per-customer or per-campaign basis.

Section 3 – Pre-Order Campaigns & Balance Collection

Certain exclusive coins are launched through creator collaborations and community-funded campaigns. When participating in a campaign pre-order, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Reservation Deposit: Pre-orders require an initial authorization deposit of $1.00 per unit collected via our pre-order checkout integration (Downpay).
  • Funding Threshold: Each campaign runs for an active window of 30 days and requires a minimum threshold of 300 confirmed pre-orders to initiate production.
  • Automatic Balance Collection: Upon reaching the 300-order milestone, the campaign is confirmed, and you authorize Badges of Dolos to charge your payment method on file for the remaining balance of the coin order.
  • Unfunded Campaigns: If a campaign fails to reach 300 orders by the close of the 30-day window, the campaign is cancelled, and all $1.00 deposits are returned in full to the original payment method without deduction or penalty.
  • Final Sale Production: Because funded campaign coins are custom-pressed specifically to satisfy funded quantities, orders cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded once the campaign funds and production begins.

Section 4 – Custom Commissions & Bespoke Tooling

For custom corporate commissions, organization awards, and bespoke dies (such as proprietary client milestone coins), production commences only after written proof approval and payment terms are executed. Because custom dies and pressed metals cannot be repurposed, all custom commissions are final sale and non-refundable.

Section 5 – Pricing, Taxes & Billing Accuracy

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. Posted prices do not include applicable sales tax, customs duties, or shipping rates, which are calculated and displayed at checkout.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing and contact details. In the event an authorized charge (such as the final campaign balance charge) is declined by your credit card issuer, you agree to provide an updated payment method within 72 hours of notice to avoid forfeiture of your pre-order reservation.

Section 6 – Production Timelines, Shipping & Delivery

Standard in-stock catalog products ship within 3–5 business days. Custom-minted coins and funded campaign items require tooling, blank stamping, relief milling, and individual press inspection. Production and estimated delivery windows posted on campaign pages are reasonable estimates and do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates.

We are not liable for transit delays caused by customs authorities, severe weather, or freight carriers. Once a package is transferred to the designated shipping carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS), title and risk of loss pass to the customer.

Section 7 – Intellectual Property

All content included on the Services—including brand marks, logos, typography, coin artwork, product copy, photography, and digital renderings—is the property of Badges of Dolos or our collaborative content partners and is protected by applicable trademark and copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, cast, strike unauthorized dies, duplicate, sell, or exploit any portion of our coins, brand assets, or web services without express written permission from Badges of Dolos.

Section 8 – Third-Party Services and Apps

Our store utilizes specialized third-party applications and services—including payment gateways, campaign management tools (Downpay, Crowdfunder), and creator affiliate platforms (Shopify Collabs)—to manage pre-orders and referral partnerships. Your interaction with these third-party integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Section 9 – Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED, ALL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE DELIVERED ‘AS IS’ AND ‘AS AVAILABLE’ FOR YOUR USE, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR DURABILITY.

IN NO EVENT SHALL BADGES OF DOLOS, OUR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF ANY SERVICE OR PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM THE STORE.

Section 10 – Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you products or services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
